Macroeconomic Effects of Foreign Direct Investments on Fragile Five Countries

This study investigates the effects of foreign direct investments (FDI) on export and gross domestic product (GDP) in original fragile five countries for period 1990-2017. For sake analysis, annual data is used two econometric models are utilized to determine stationary variables, their long-term relationship, regression coefficients, causality relationship between variables. The results indicate that a 1% rise FDI stock increases exports by 0.06% where imports 0.81%. On other hand, growth GDP 0.12% exports, increase 0.79%. test show there bidirectional Imports GDP, unidirectional from exports.
